The kit consists of:
- A real cast-iron chimney ball weighing 2.5 kg, diameter approx. 8.5 cm
- A strong carabiner
- A section of chain
- A steel brush, 200 mm diameter
- A strong 10 mm rope, 15 m long
The 2.5 kg cast-iron ball ensures optimal weight for the kit. The ball can pull down a larger brush without the brush getting stuck in the chimney flue. The 2.5 kg weight is ideal—it does not overly fatigue the person cleaning.
The strong and hard cast iron from which the ball is cast guarantees a long service life. It does not corrode, crack, or deform like competitors’ balls, which are welded from sheet metal and filled with sand just to keep costs low.
Thanks to the chain guide, the kit is easily introduced into the flues. There is no need to make complicated movements or force the ball into the flue. Thanks to the section of chain, the kit guides itself very easily.
This is a solution taken from professional, much more expensive chimney sweeping kits.
The strong braided PP (polypropylene) rope is durable and does not rot, unlike other ropes such as hemp. It provides a good grip due to its thickness—it is not a thin cord. It has a diameter of 10 mm.
